Plumbing Pre-
Apprenticeship Program

Through our Plumbing Pre-apprenticeship Program, students will gain the right skills and education to become successful in the plumbing industry. As a training centre known for producing proficient apprentices, taking your first steps in the skilled trades with us will put you ahead of the rest. At Skilled Trades College’s Mississauga campus, our students will learn to specialize in installing and maintaining systems used for potable (drinking) water, sewage, and drainage in plumbing systems. The other skills they will acquire include the following:

• Installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment
• Welding, connecting, and leak testing
• Interpreting blueprints Supervising apprentices

Intro to Home
Renovation

Ontario's booming construction industry and high demand for skilled trade workers are paving a clear direction: there has never been a better time to undergo training and pursue a career in home renovation. Skilled Trades College of Canada’s Ajax campus offers an Intro To Home Renovation Program where students will learn the basics of framing, drywall, taping, footings, vapour barrier, insulation, masonry (brick-laying) rough-in electrical, rough-in plumbing, and all relevant general construction work. This program equips students with fundamental, practical hands-on training in a simulated on-the-job setting and all the relevant safety certifications.
