Course Overview
The Construction and Maintenance Electrician Pre-Apprentice Program at the Skilled Trades College of Canada was designed to give students the right mix of theoretical and hands-on training to make them successful apprentices.
STC focusses on what matters most – HANDS ON!! We designed our Electrical program with the contractor in mind. After all, they are the ones that are going to hire you. While it’s important to learn the theory, what’s going to make you shine as an apprentice is your ability to help the job move along. Our program ensures you are in the lab 60% of the time working with what matters most – YOUR HANDS!
Electricians are tradespeople who specialize in designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems. Electricians have many duties such as planning projects, installing new or upgrading old systems, wiring, receptacles, lighting fixtures, and much more. Our graduates will receive the necessary skills, safety training, and hands-on practice needed to make them the most sought-after electrical apprentices in their field.

Graduates of our Electrician Program leave with a full set of high end tools, including a tool belt and a backpack, a drill and bit kit, PPE (hardhat, safety glasses and safety vest), safety certifications, and textbooks. But most importantly, the skills and knowledge of a second year apprentice. After completing our program, you will have the confidence and hands-on experience needed to start working and become an asset to any company.

Receiving the necessary training from a pre-apprentice program can mean having an apprenticeship or not. Remember, as an apprentice you are asking a contractor to hire you.Gone are the days of showing up to a contractor with no experience. Contractors are looking for new hires that bring skills to the table and a genuine passion to work in the trades.

Pre-Apprenticeship programs are priced at $12,900 and the $400 deposit is required to reserve a seat, balance is paid after. We do offer payment plans upon request.
