We are not your typical college. STC is run by construction industry veterans who understand what it takes to be successful in the trades. What makes STC unique? We are actively working in the construction industry on sites all over the GTA with our contracting division. We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk. Most students who start at STC have never swung a hammer, used a power drill, or cut a piece of lumber. Our supportive approach to teaching will help build your confidence over the course of the program. Make your mistakes while you are here, that way you are making fewer mistakes on the job – when it matters most. We want every graduate leaving STC with their Head-up and beaming with confidence. That’s our goal.

HANDS ON

STC focusses on what matters most – HANDS ON!! We designed all of our programs with the contractor in mind. After all, they are the ones that are going to hire you. While it’s also important to learn the theory, what’s going to make you shine as an apprentice is your ability to help the job move along. Our program ensures you are in the lab 60% of the time working with what matters most – YOUR HANDS!

Fun

STC is not a stuffy college or high school math class. We work hard and have fun at the same time. We learned a long time ago that the more fun our students and staff are having, the more they get out of the program. Ultimately we want to encourage you to pursue your career. The program is fun and engaging and you will jump out of bed each morning ready to come in and see what the day has in store.
