We are not your typical college. STC is run by construction industry veterans who understand what it takes to be successful in the trades. What makes STC unique? We are actively working in the construction industry on sites all over the GTA with our contracting division. We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk. Networking and relationships are part of the game, and we have fostered those connections for over 25 years. When you join STC, you become part of our network.

A construction and maintenance electrician Pre-Apprenticeship Program designed to give students the right mix of theoretical and hands-on training to make them successful apprentices.

A Plumber Pre-Apprentice Program designed to give students 60% of the time working in the lab with hands on skills. Students learn installing and maintaining systems used for potable (drinking) water, sewage, and drainage in plumbing systems.

intro to home renovation

The Intro to Home Renovation Program at the Skilled Trades College of Canada was designed to meet the current need for skilled trade workers in Ontario’s booming construction industry. In just 12 weeks, students collectively build a 1000 square foot house to completion, with finishes. Students will cover the basics of Framing, Drywall, Taping, Footings, Vapor Barrier, Insulation, rough-in Electrical, rough-in Plumbing, and all relevant general construction work.
